The Beginning of Your Journey!

There was no grace or fluid movement as Mark made his way off the Air-Ship. In fact, he didn't even walk, it was more a stumbling, falling run. Why? Well, on the way to the schools docking port, Mark had met a few other students, two third years and a second year, on the Air-Ship en-rout. The four of them got to talking, joking, and all around being rambunctious friends. Once the ship had docked, one of them had the bright idea to give Mark a playful shove down the exit ramp... He'd get them back... Eventually.

"Aw, Shit! You lit'le bugga's!" Mark nearly shouted, stumbling down the ramp, almost losing his duffle bag on the way down. "I'll get you! All of ya, you little shite's...." He called up toward the other students, the slightest hint of mirth in his voice. Being quick to compose himself, Mark began making his way down the lengthy, main avenue of Beacon's Academy grounds. "Third Year.... Here we go..."

"What about what?" Leon asks, clueless to what Nix was looking at. He followed the boy's gaze, moving his robotic arm so he could see, and saw nothing.

Wayne pushes his glasses up.
"It's hard to sleep in anticipation for coming here...Novus thinks so too...he can't sleep either."

Roland hears Iden's call for attention, and turns to face the girl. "Yes?"

Sean's gaze also turns, his eyes shimmering behind his hair before he shifts back into shadow

Iden hesitated just a little when Roland gave her his attention but she took a breath and smiling lighlty, "U-umm...where am I...suppose to go now?" she asked almost shyly. She was suddenly feeling nervous once again now that she was actually at the school.

Sean deadpans. Once again, Roland had been gone to in sheer neglect to the fact that he had been sitting around for a fairly long time. He could be friendly too...it's not like he had anything else to do right now.

Roland smiles gently, remembering his own introduction to Beacon three years ago. "Head to the gathering hall," he instructs the girl, before turning his attention back to his teammate. "My apologies, Sean. Were you able to get out and about during our time off?"

Sean sighs, one of the few noises his breath allowed him to make, and shrugs, tilting his head. He never really went anywhere anyways. Roland and Okiro had always been the ones to push him to get out of the dorm.

Iden nodded slowly at what Roland told but frowned, "And...wh-where is the Gathering Hall?" she asked. She glanced to the other student with the two and smiled lightly at him, trying to be friendly.

And there it is.... Mark thought, stopping at the front of the academy's main Gathering Hall. Oh, the memories. First year, first day off the Air-ship, stumbling through the academy grounds, like a lost, little pup; taken in by all the sights. The statue they kept out here was a sight, indeed. Two Hunters, finding and defeating their quarry; a feral Beowolf, seemingly crawling on its stomach, reaching for one more chance at life. Or perhaps trying to kill something with its final breath, either one. Over all, very well sculpted.

For a while, Mark stood there, gazing at the massive entrance to the schools amphitheater. Other people were already trickling in, one by one, but he stayed his ground, almost lost in thought. The decision to stay and check out Ozpin's opening speech crossed his mind, but Mark swept that thought aside. Getting something to eat, and perhaps checking his dorm-room was tugging at him a bit more than anything else.

"I think it's this way, Iden. At least, that's where everyone else is going to." Alex says, pointing over his shoulder at a few groups of students wandering into what seemed like a larger part of the courtyard.

"Your arm." Nix says, once again throwing tact out of the window. "Does it have any combat capabilities?"

"I see," Is all Octavia has to reply with, lacing her hands behind her back and remaining silent.

"oh!" Leon says, opening up a hatch on his metal foarm, flicking out a bolt action loader lever.
"Dust canon, fires out energy balls at several hundred degrees of heat."

Wayne nods, fixing his glasses again.
"At least people are starting to show up!"

Nix lets out a long, drawn out whistle. "Damn, man. How many shots you got before you have to reload?" He asks with a quirk of the brow, observing the "weapon."

Octavia gives another nod, once again, this time with an accompanying smile. "Shouldn't be long, now." She adds.

Leon shrugs, resetting the bolt and hatch.
"Dunno...never had to use the whole thing."

Wayne sighs, rubbing his eyes under his glasses.
"I wonder what the teams are gonna be..." he says, expecting to receive team and door assignments first day.

"Hm... We'll have to head out to do something at some time, then. Maybe even just going on a hunt of our own," Roland says, wanting to get Sean out and about more.

Lí passes by with the luggage carts, and starts packing them up. He notes the lighter load, and exasperation mixed with relief leap up in his mind as he recalls the Schnee Heiress' large amount.

Sean shrugs, having pulled out his cards and now performing a bridge cut.

Roland rolls his eyes with a smile as Sean begins shuffling his cards. "Perhaps a night in with the team and a few guests, then?" Roland suggests.

With one cart loaded, Lí stages it outside the airship, not wanting to forget it on his way out. He then returns to loading the second one up, hoping to finish this load with it.

Sean smirks, nodding. Nights indoors were more his style anyway.

Iden looked to Alex who she had not noticed was behind her, "O-oh..." she smiled sheepishly and looked towards the other groups of students. "I guess we should go," she looked to Alex once again and then looked at her feet, "U-umm, l-lead the way, Alex..." she said a little shyly. She knew even if she tried to head to the place on her own, she was surely to get lost along the way. It was always easier and often better to have someone lead her and she follow.

Alex chuckles lightly at the girl's shyness, and motions for her to follow along. "RIght. Let's get goin'." He says, waving goodbye to the upperclassmen. "Later, Senpai! We'll catch up with you guys later!" Alex says to them, before walking off with Iden.

Okiro watches as they leave, before turning to Roland and Sean again. "Perhaps we can invite them?" She suggests.

Nix gives another nod, pushing his finished tray away from him. "Does that mean you haven't even reloaded it? Or just never had to reload due to an empty... "Clip" if that's the right term." He asks, resting his elbows on the table.

Dusk wakes up to see another person looking at him, who seemed to be a Faunus. He quickly got up, and walked quickly in the other direction, hoping that nobody, including that girl, found out about his ... little secret and would tell others.

With his thoughts and memories beginning to take a firmer hold on his mind, Mark slowly began to lose himself. In no time, those who walked past would've seen Mark just standing there, duffle bag over his shoulder, and a bit of a blank expression on his face. It was only when another student, probably a first year, bumped into him, snapping Mark out of his trance-like state. Mark was quick to react, and apologise for the sudden contact, though the other student dismissed Mark's apology with a wave of the hand, saying that it was their fault. Mark didn't argue with that, and with a nod of his head, he turned away, ready to head for his dorm.

And then it hit him; he was a Third Year now, he was probably expected to get his own luggage this time around. That, and... he may have packed a few... interesting beverages for later consumption. Not wanting to throw it to chance, Mark did something akin to an about-face turn, and began walking back to the Air-Ship drop off area. Along the way he smiled and gave a bit of a wave to Alex and Iden, wondering if they knew where they were going. Mark caught site of Roland and Okiro as well, but didn't greet them, seeing as they seemed in their own conversation at the moment. Just a few yards from the baggage collection area, Mark gave vocal call to anyone around; "Oy! Anyone about? Who do I talk to about my bags?" There should've been someone around, there was a full cart there; chances are, someone was working.

Lí hears Mark's question, and sets some of the last bags on the cart before answering. "I'm just getting everything in the school." After answering, he sees who asked, and adds, "Feel free if you'd rather take your own luggage, Mark."

Leon shrugs at Nix.
"I've never been the one tinkering with it....I've never had purpose to even load the mechanism...so I don't..."

Sean shrugs at Okiro's question, popping his knuckles and performing another fancy cut with the deck.

Roland watches Sean's fancy card work with a gleam in his eye, idly commenting, "I have to learn how to do that from you some time..." His mind runs back to Okiro's suggestion, and he briefly mulls it over. "...Perhaps..." he says, deciding to not commit on the idea at the moment.

Iden followed after Alex, glancing back to the older students, waving to them before she turned her attention back to Alex. "Are you looking forward to the assembly?" she asked Alex, "I wonder what's it going to be like" she then mused to herself.

"Oh, Well... Thanks, lad; and good on ya." Mark says, taking a few steps closer. "I shouldn't have too much, a few cases, nothing I can't... Handle..." Once he's close enough, Mark gets a better view of who's working the luggage carts. He wasn't exactly surprised, but more or less a bit at a loss for words.".... L-Li? Is that you?... Uh, hey, man. How've, uh... How've you been?" He says, tripping over his words a bit.

It wasn't a rare occurrence to see Li around the school, usually depends on where you are. With how much the guy keeps to himself, though, one might call it a rare moment. "Out and about, eh? Someone, uh... Finally got you outta your books? Got'cha workin' the luggage, then?" Mark was silently cursing his brain, and what he said next would only add to that; "Almost, uh... Didn't recognize you. Your hair get longer, or?..." Jaysus, brain... What the hell?.

Lí looks at Mark for a few moments, then returns to his work, answering, "Professor Vainikainen has me helping out. I've been about as well as you can expect." He decides to forgo responding to the question about his hair, deeming it unessential.

Nodding in response, Mark silently went about looking for his bags. He'd mentally kick himself for the hair comment later. Mark already had one duffle over his shoulder, but there was another somewhere among the other bags, as well as a back pack and a rather large suit case. Said suitcase had his not-so-legal beverages.

Still searching, Mark would take quick glances at Li once in a while, a part of his mind not wanting to leave them both in an awkward silence. Well, awkward for Mark, maybe; he didn't know about Li. After a minute and a half of silence, Mark finally said, "... Enjoy your time off at all?" Simple choice of words, yeah; not much was really flooding into his head at the moment. Something was also nudging the back of Mark's mind... Usually when that happens, its not always a good thing.

Lí shrugs in response, then says, "I suppose. It was peaceful enough." He finishes loading the cart, all the baggage accounted for, and starts wheeling it out of the airship. "Got everything, Mark?" he questions, stopping by his fellow student before fully departing.
